Castle Rock United Methodist Church

Each Friday we pack backpacks full of food for children in our community who might otherwise go hungry.  Some of the food we provide is peanut butter and jelly, soups, fresh fruit and vegetables, non-sugar cereals, and healthy snacks.  If you would like to help with our Backpack Program, or would like more information please call the church office at 274-4252.

The Villager

Once a month, a group from our church visits The Villager care home here in Castle Rock. We celebrate birthdays, sing and join in fellowship with one another.

In March, we will bring a worship service and Communion to The Villager on the first Sunday afternoon of every month.

We will be creating a new youth group format in the upcoming New Year. Please stay tuned for meeting times and activities.

Elementary School girls and boys have a new after school program every Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Castle Rock UMC.

Students are escorted by a program coordinator after school at 2:40 p.m. to our church just down the street from the elementary school. Parents will need to be on hand at the church immediately after school to fill out permission slips on the first day their children attend.

Each week there are snacks, learning activities and education around 4-H basics of cooking, sewing, small animals and gardening. We will be making lots of things and learning lots of stuff!

We invite you and your children to join us on Wednesday afternoons after school! To find out more about our "Rockin' Pirates 4-H Group, please contact Barbara Rutherford at 360-749-4959.
